I would like to encourage my fellow CUHK students to take up challenges that come their way. The foundation we have laid will contribute to our future success.

There are three rounds in the Young Tax Professional of the Year 2023 (Hong Kong). First, we were asked a number of multiple-choice questions which were related to basic taxation. Then, we were divided into groups and required to do a case presentation in a group format. Finally, two of the candidates were chosen in each group and each shortlisted finalist did an individual presentation on the extended part of the case.

The competition unexpectedly put all the previously acquired knowledge and skills to the test. While the taxation knowledge I learned at CUHK enabled me to tackle the case questions, effective communication and collaboration skills were key to achieving success in the presentation and Q&A sessions.  I would like to encourage my fellow CUHK students to take up challenges that come their way. The foundation we have laid will contribute to our future success.
