A luxury retail watch internship overseas in Paris for a month is truly remarkable and undoubtedly a life-changing experience. Interning in the heart of the luxury industry and in a city renowned for its fashion and elegance offers a unique opportunity for my personal and professional growth.

Getting in touch with experienced individuals in luxury retail gave me valuable insights into various aspects of the industry, such as customer service, visual merchandising, sales strategies, and brand management. This exposure allowed me to develop a deeper understanding of the luxury market and the skills required to succeed in it.

Living and working in a different culture also really challenged me to adapt and embrace new perspectives, and the international nature of my internship allowed me to connect with people from different parts of the world. I feel that by building a global network of colleagues and friends, can be invaluable for future career opportunities and personal development.

Overall, my experience of interning in luxury retail overseas in Paris for a month is undoubtedly a significant chapter in my life. I have never been away from home for so long so it felt like being abroad, which is a refreshing experience. One thing I would say I struggled with would be the pacing of the work culture in Europe. As people in Hong Kong are busy working hectically from day to night, there are rarely chances of a break of a sense of relaxation incorporated into businessmen's daily lifestyle. Hence, it came as a shock to me when I began working that I noticed the laid-back workstyle my bosses in Paris had, differing from other previous companies in Hong Kong.
