All these memorable rewards and experience surely could not be valued by time.

The internship at CDETO not only provided me with precious working experience, but it also refreshed my impressions towards Chengdu. It also gave me a chance to learn more about HKETO's duties and functions.

Even through simplest documentation work, I learnt more about the communication strategies, arrangements between CDETO and other stakeholders. Also, while checking the website contents for different departments, I have got a chance to research related policies, notices and documents of China. I was able to learn more about the differences of policy-making process and word usage inofficial documents in between Hong Kong and Chengdu. During the internship, other interns and I have got a great opportunity to follow the Director of CDETO to attend a company visit event held by Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in China-Sichuan. We visited several Hong Kong- funded enterprises, and got to know more about their investments, development and co-operation with others in Chengdu.

Both local and Hong Kong people in the office were really nice and friendly. They were willing to explain details and told me more about their work and procedures they faced. Through communicating with the Director, I also understood the constraints faced by Hong Kong government officials there and the differences of working culture in Hong Kong and Chengdu. Despite of communication during work, they also organized birthday parties every month and badminton day every week. It was really enjoyable and rewarding to work in such a friendly atmosphere.

In my leisure time, I also visited some tourist spots like Chunxi Road, Wuhou Temple and Dujiangyan, etc, and tried out local food like spicy hotpot and ice jelly. It was really fun to discover different faces of this city. The time working in Chengdu was short, but all these memorable rewards and experience surely could not be valued by time.
